Poison of Ages

''Poison of Ages'' is an album by New Zealand metal band 8 Foot Sativa. It is the only 8 Foot Sativa record to feature vocalist Ben Read,. The album was due to be released on 8 May 2006 but its release was delayed (See "Controversy" below). It was recorded at Studio Underground in Sweden. It has been self released by the band and is distributed by Universal Music in New Zealand. The official release date was May 21, 2007.〔"(Official 8 Foot Sativa's Forums ) ''Intergalacticrecords.com''〕
A two-minute demo of 'For the Birds' could be found on their website (8footsativa.com ). The band premiered 'For the Birds' in August 2006 at The Rack and Ruin bar in Napier. They also premiered 'Thumbs, Eye Sockets, Love' not long afterwards. The band played at least three of the songs live before they released Poison of Ages.
